Francois du Toit
Francois du Toit holds a B.Com in Marketing, Economics and Business Administration, a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) from the University of KwaZulu-Natal (UKZN), Pietermaritzburg, and a Diploma in Project Management.
He lives in Kloof, Durban, on the east coast of KwaZulu Natal, and is happily married with 2 young adult kids, and 5 dogs.
Francois serves as CEO of the African Conservation Trust, implementing a range of conservation, environmental, and heritage projects throughout KZN. ACT is a founder member of Project Rhino and Francois serves as a global Project Rhino ambassador, as well as director of its bi-annual World Youth Wildlife Summit. ACT also helps drive FrackFreeSA.
Francois leads a dedicated team of professionals in the South African landscape and sees ACT as a key in developing sustainable use options benefitting all stakeholders and enabling viable enterprise development in the Biodiversity economy.
Francois serves on a number of other environmental and Black Empowerment trusts, has done extensive work in the wildlife economy, community development, food security, waste management and environmental sectors, and is a sought after speaker and facilitator.
